JURASSIC PARK III NEWS:
11/25/01 "ORIGINAL JPIII PLOTS!"
A guy named Sithraptor on Dans Jp3page has posted some very interesting news about the orginal plots for JP3. He said that he got them from his friend who work at Universal! They do fit in with recent talk about the orginal plots from Joe Johnston!


Script #1: "Return to the Island: Jurassic Park 3." - In this story that ocurrs two years after TLW, five college students struggling to make an award-winning documentary travel to Isla Sorna. This group of aspiring film makers need to create a big nature program, and what better place to do it than Jurassic Park? They charter two crewmen and boat to take them to the island. However, as they head up the river, a Baryonyx attacks and the crew is killed. Now, the five students are trapped on Site B. Eventually, the last surviving student is helped off the island by an unexpected source. After the San Diego incident, Alan Grant snuck onto Site B, and has been living with and studying the dinosaurs ever since. Grant and the college camera man, (Jake), are the only survivors.

Script #2: - "Jurassic Park III: Evolution."
In this second draft, strange deaths are happening in the Costa Rican rain forests. Small infants and old people are being eaten at night by un-identified animals. Alan Grant is digging in the area, and sees some pictures of the strange creatures. They seem to be some type of small dinosaur, but he's not sure. Grant calls his friend and former mentor, Paul Roby, who knows more about Triassic lizards. Paul comes down and confirms that they are indeed Compsognathus. When they bring this report to the US government, a desperate mission is launched to discover how dinosaurs could have "evolved" to live in the human world. Along with Grant and Paul on the mission, are Jeremy Cooper, Paul's body guard; Simone, a naturalist; Jennifer Riley, Paul's funder; Billy Hume, Grant's graduate student; Chaotician Ian Malcolm; Captain David Finch, a US military attache; and Paul's fourteen-year-old son, estranged son, Miles, who comes against Grant's warning. Once the group enters the rain forest, they will discover the truth about evolution!

Script #3: - "Jurassic Park III." In this story, taking place four years after TLW, Grant goes on a rescue mission. Grant's wife, Ellie, and young son, *Kevin, go to Site B. Ellie is the host of a television show about the cloned dinosaurs, because Grant needs the money to keep the dig open. She leaves without telling him, and leaves a letter explaining where she has gone. However, when the team is attacked, and everything goes horribly wrong, Grant goes to find them. He hires several mercenraies, (Udesky, Cooper, Nash, Ben, and Enrique), and charters a private airplane to get them there, (Manned by Paul and Amanda Kirby). They reach the island, to find Ellie and Kevin are the only survivors. But they might not be for long...

*In this treatment, the writer states that Kevin is brought along because Ellie doesn't belive anything can go wrong if they're careful. However, he also states that he might not be in the final draft of this version.

JURASSIC PARK FAN FIC NEWS:
After my previous JPIV: The Return script. I decided to write a new one.
"Jurassic Park IV: Evolution". Running at about 67 pages long, this story is full of laughs and excitements. Critics RAVE!

Jurassic Park IV: Evolution PART 9

“Ah, shit!”

I clicked on this one not having any previous experience with the author whatsoever. Hmmmm, part
9...would this chapter be good enough to lure me into reading the entire fanfic? Let’s see....

Two things came to mind when reading this story: Cheesy and Enjoyable. You ever watched a movie that
was so bad it was funny or cool? This is that story. Carnotaur never really seems to take himself seriously,
unlike many other authors (myself included) who simply try too hard and mess up. You get the sense that
Carnotuar3 is just as happy as can be while he’s writing, and I could feel that energy. This chapter was long,
hoaky, bloody, corny, funny....the sum of all the parts was just fun. It helped that I didn’t hear a thing about
this story, because while reading it, I just enjoyed myself. Sure, people get ripped through windows with
the simplest descriptions, heads go rolling, etc, but the fact remains, I came away pleased. Is this my fav fan
fic at the moment? No :P Is it funny and silly and bloody and all that fun stuff? YES! 8.0 out of 10
